What Mo keeps
Only what he needs to be a good friend:
- Your phone number and name.
- Your texts, and the photos you send him.
- Call transcripts, when you call him or ask him to call you.
- Notes he makes from your chats: your plans, key people, big dates and reminders.
What Mo never keeps
- Passwords, card or bank numbers, or ID numbers. If you send one, he won’t save it.
- Your location. Mo doesn’t track where you are.
How long he keeps it
- Word-for-word chats: deleted after 30 days.
- Small stuff, like a lunch order: fades after 90 days.
- Important stuff, like your goals, people and dates: kept until you delete it.
Sensitive stuff
Health, mental health and relationship details get extra care. Mo only brings them up if you do first.
Who helps run Mo
A few companies handle pieces of the work. Each one only gets what it needs for its part.
- Linq carries your iMessages.
- Twilio carries phone calls.
- Anthropic (Claude) writes Mo’s texts and reads your photos.
- OpenAI handles Mo’s voice on calls.
- Cloudflare hosts Mo and stores his memory.
What we never do
- Sell your data. Ever.
- Show you ads.
- Use your chats to train models, unless you say yes.
You’re in control
Just text Mo:
- “what do you remember about me” gets you a plain-words summary.
- “forget that” deletes one thing.
- “forget everything” wipes it all, after you confirm.
- “stop” and he stops texting you right away.
Or email hey@textmo.app and we’ll handle it.
The fine print
- Mo is for people 18 and up.
- If this page changes in a big way, Mo will text you first.
